Integrating Mixpanel with Drata automates your user access reviews, saving time and reducing errors by syncing user data directly from Mixpanel.
Prerequisites
Ensure you have Owner or Admin privileges for your Mixpanel account.
Copy your Mixpanel Domain and Organization ID. You will need this to connect Mixpanel to Drata.
Log in to your Mixpanel.
Your Domain and Organization ID is found in the URL.
Given the URL:
https://my-domain.com/project/projectId/view/organizationId/app/homeDomain:
my-domainOrganization ID:
organizationId
Create and copy the username of your service account and secret. You will need this to connect Mixpanel to Drata.
Go to your settings and then your Organization Settings.
To generate the service accounts, select Service Accounts from left menu and then Add Service Account button.
Enter the Service Account Name, select the Admin from the ORGANIZATION ROLE dropdown and then create.
Copy your new username and secret. Then, select Done.
Enable Mixpanel
Select Connections on the side navigation menu.
Select the Available connections tab, search for Mixpanel, and select Connect.
Follow the instructions on the connection drawer.
After you select connect to Mixpanel, on the popup modal, enter the required fields with the values that you obtained from the previous section.
