Test 131: Autoscale Server Instances

Determine if autoscaling was in place to provision new compute resources when predefined capacity thresholds are met.

Updated over a month ago

Drata inspects autoscaling configurations to determine if autoscaling was in place to provision new compute resources when predefined capacity thresholds are met.

ASSOCIATED DRATA CONTROL

This test is part of the Autoscaling (DCF-97) that ensures your company has enabled auto-scaling configurations to provision new cloud resources when predefined capacity thresholds are met.

WHAT TO DO IF A TEST FAILS

If Drata did not find any autoscale groups configurations, the test will fail.

STEPS TO REMEDIATE

Configure autoscaling groups to automatically provision compute resources based on predefined thresholds.

Note: Drata requests verification that autoscaling is configured for regions with compute resources.
