This test is part of the Storage Buckets are Versioned control that ensures storage buckets containing customer data are versioned appropriately.

Note: Azure Storage Accounts of type StorageV2 are not included in this test. This is due to limitations in how this storage type handles required configuration options.

If Drata detects data stores that are not configured for versioning the test will fail. With a failed test you will receive a list of data stores that require versioning.

To remediate a failed test, you will need to enable data versioning on the reported data stores.

To ensure a validated state when testing for versioning within storage data, please follow the steps listed in the table below. Once the provider steps have been completed, navigate back to Drata and execute the test.
