Connecting Rippling to Drata allows for automated checks and evidence collection to provide details on personnel hire and separation dates as well as their employment status.
Prerequisites
Make sure you have admin access to your company's Rippling account.
NOTE: You must have purchased Rippling's 'App Management Package' to utilize this app. Sync with your Rippling rep if you need assistance in adding it.
You must have Rippling connected as a HRIS connection type in order to utilize Rippling as a MDM connection.
At this time, Drata’s device compliance checks using the Rippling connection, checks device settings directly or the report that’s generated by Rippling about device settings. That said, Rippling does not share device details about auto-applying security patches configuration, so evidence for that check must be manually uploaded. Admins can upload evidence for employees from the Personnel page or give the ability for employees to manually upload their evidence through my Drata by configuring your Internal Security settings.
Connect Rippling to Drata:
Select Connections on the side navigation menu.
Select the Available connections tab, search for Rippling, and select Connect for the desired connection.
Follow the instructions on the connection drawer. The slide-out panel will provide step-by-step instructions (see below). The following screenshot showcases the connection drawer for the HRIS connection type.
Use Rippling MDM: Enable this if you would like to allow the connection to sync MDM data from Rippling, in addition to HRIS fields.
