Connecting Paylocity to Drata allows for automated checks and evidence collection to provide details on personnel hire, separation dates, and their employment status.
Prerequisite
Ensure you have admin access to your company's Paylocity account.
When connecting Paylocity, you must update API credentials yearly. Refer to page 4 of this Paylocity PDF under Client Credentials and refresh the connection in Drata before expiration.
After connecting Paylocity, manually update single-member contractors. Since Paylocity does not return these personnel through their API, they will have an Unknown status in Drata until updated.
Enable Paylocity
Select Connections on the side navigation menu.
Select the Available connections tab, search for Paylocity, and select Connect.

Paylocity API credentials expire every 365 days. You will need to come back into Drata before this expiration date and refresh the connection with new API credentials.
