Integrating Vetty to Drata streamlines your background check process, enhancing compliance and security. Follow these steps to set up the integration.
Prerequisites
Register for a Vetty Account.
Create Vetty’s API Key and Client ID:
Log into the Vetty dashboard.
Navigate to Settings -> API Management -> API Management System
Add a new API key with an IP range: `
0.0.0.0/0
`Save the API key. You will enter the API key into Drata to connect Vetty.
Note: Ensure you save the API key expiration date. You will have to update the API key within Drata before it expires to ensure you stay connected.
Register the Webhook URL into Vetty:
Note: When registering the webhook URL, you will be prompted to enter the Webhook Secret Key. Ensure to save the Webhook Secret Key because you will enter this value into Drata to connect to Vetty.
Copy the following webhook URL:
http://localhost:3000/vetty/webhook
In your Vetty account, navigate to Settings -> API Management -> Web Hook
Enter the webhook URL and save the Webhook Secret Key.
Have Vetty’s default package ID
In your Vetty’s dashboard, navigate to Packages.
Select and copy the Package ID value for the package you would like to use.
Save the ID value because you will enter this into Drata to connect Vetty.
Enable Vetty
Select Connections from the left-side navigation menu.
Select the Available connections tab, search for and select Vetty.
Follow the instructions on the connection drawer.
API Key: Enter Vetty’s API Key.
Client ID: Enter Vetty’s Client ID.
Note: You will have to update the API key within Drata before it expires to ensure you stay connected.
Webhook Secret Key: Enter Webhook Secret Key you created while creating the webhook URL in Vetty.
Default Package Id: Enter the desired package ID.
Save your connection.
A green success toast notification is displayed for successful connections.
