Databricks Connection

Integrating Databricks with Drata automates your user access reviews, saving time and reducing errors by syncing user data directly from Databricks.

Prerequisites

  • Ensure you have Site Administrator Creator privileges for your Tableau account.

  • Copy your Databricks Account ID. You will need this to connect Databricks to Drata.

    1. Log in to your Databricks instance at https://accounts.cloud.databricks.com

    2. Select your username in the top-right corner. In the drop-down menu, copy your displayed Account ID.

  • Authenticate access to Databricks with a service principal using OAuth. Refer to Databricks documentation for more information. Ensure to configure with the following permissions:

    1. Create a service principal with Admin permissions.

    2. Generate an OAuth Secret, containing your Client ID and Client Secret. Copy and store your Client ID and Client Secret. You will need this to connect Databricks to Drata.

  • Configure the redirect URI.

    • Enter https://api.stackone.com/connect/oauth2/databricks_iam/callback as the Redirect URI.

Enable Databricks

  1. Select Connections on the side navigation menu.

  2. Select the Available connections tab, search for Databricks, and select Connect.

  3. Follow the instructions on the connection drawer.

    • After you select connect to Databricks, on the popup modal, enter the required fields with the values that you obtained from the previous section.
